Booker t Washington was non political. He took what he did very serious. Through out his life he was sharply criticized. He was a very smart man and the blacks loved him. Washington was an author of 20 books, including 2 autobiographies, a biography of Fredrick Douglas and umber of education text. He was very nice and was always trying to help the young black kids get an education. Washington was an influential voice among late 19th – and early 20th African American culture leader. He might not of known what he wanted to be when he was younger but indeed came a long way from being unknown and a slave.
